Vintage 1968/1969 Mattel Storybook Kiddles with Romeo and Juliet dolls and a brief story for children with a much happier ending than the original version. The dolls are in good condition, with clothes colors still bright and no fading of the skin or eyes. Some wear on Juliet’s garment. There is glue residue in their hair, something that bugged me when I was a little girl playing with them! The yellow plastic pendant is included, with no scratches or damage, but the necklace chain and blue stands are lost to time. The storybook itself has wear on the sides and a mark from the original price tag on the front. The colors remain bright. The pink heart and plastic cover have some crinkle damage. This item has been stored in a bin in a closet in a non-smoking child-free household for decades. Great find for a vintage toy collector or 60’s classic toys aficionado.
