This is a Russian Military Jacket worn in the movie ‘RED DAWN’ (1984) by one of the soldiers of the Russian Military. It is a  heavy cotton canvas jacket  that is actually not Russian but converted to it for the movie, as Russian uniforms were unavailable due to the Cold War. These are very heavy GERMAN items. The jacket buttons up the front and also has a zipper, which I show a picture of. The manufacturers label may vary.

MOST ALL THE UNIFORMS HAVE SOME MINOR REPAIR / WEAR.
REPAIRS WERE MADE BY THE FILM CREW AND COSTUMERS – ALL OF THEM LOOK GREAT.
RED DAWN (1984) is a film depicting the invasion of the United States from the north and south by communist forces-Russian and Cuban-in the beginning of WWIII and the efforts of a group of high school students who organize themselves into guerilla-fighters to turn back the invasion. Patrick Swayze, Charlie Sheen, Lea Thompson, Jennifer Gray, along with Ben Johnson and Powers Boothe star in this action/war movie. Already over 37 years old, this movie is easily identified with by more than one generation – especially now!
