Mary Alice Hadley Pottery is very Special.

and-crafted Pottery Since 1940.
Mary Alice Hadley established one of Louisville’s most well-known potteries.  In the 1930s she began melding her artistic talent with her knowledge of clay ware and in 1939 she made dishes for her houseboat on the Ohio River that became so popular that with the help of her husband George, the Hadley Pottery Company was formed early in 1940.
The warm and whimsical designs that Mary created have attracted fans over the last 70 years and are still finding their way into the hearts of new Hadley Pottery enthusiasts every day.  Upon her passing in 1965, George continued the business until it was sold in 1979 to Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth W. Moore and the operations remain largely the same as they were when the company was started.
We offer this nice Coaster or Nut Dish marked “SORRY YOU’RE ILL” and signed M . A. Hadley on the bottom.
We believe this is the Country Scene Pattern in Blue
It measures about 4-1/4″ across.
Condition is excellent — no issues — appears to be unused.
